Origen Ecuador was founded in 2016 with a clear vision: to be the bridge between Ecuadorian producers and the European market.
After years of fieldwork, getting to know cacao-growing regions and building relationships of trust with farmers and communities, in 2019 we took the definitive step toward cacao and chocolate as the central focus of our activity.
Today, we have offices, a warehouse, and a Tasting Room in Irún, Basque Country — a strategically significant location for two reasons: this region is historically recognized as the birthplace of chocolate in Europe, and its border position with France allows us to operate efficiently in both markets.
From here, we distribute high-quality cacao and chocolate throughout Europe, maintaining respect at every step for those who cultivate and transform the product at its origin.
We work directly with farmers, indigenous communities, women, and artisans from Ecuador, bringing their work to the international market with the dignity it deserves. Each product we distribute carries a story of land, hands, and generations.
